Sampling. First results of effective trials.

Sampling is an old marketing tool. Its essence lies in the fact that the UAHK company, in our case, offers potential customers who are interested in the use of trace elements, but have not yet decided on a supplier, to try ADOB products: Basfoliar and Solu.

Let’s try to figure out why sampling is so good, and what place it can take in a marketing campaign. In 2015, UAHK allocated a fairly large number of drugs, mainly Basfoliar 36 Extra and Basfoliar 6-12-6, as well as mono microfertilizers Solu, for the target audience – farms that are at a crossroads, which drugs to use. The first successes were not long in coming.

Many, appreciating the goodwill and confidence of the UAHK managers in the proposed product, after the first tests, immediately bought and applied ADOB preparations on their lands. In addition, according to the statistics of the use of sampling, half of the buyers will definitely purchase this product again and become regular customers of UAHK.

Finally, we shouldn’t forget that people, of course, pay close attention to recommendations and even advertisements, but they are much more accustomed to trusting their own feelings and experience. In this case, they have the opportunity to try the product for free, and draw their own conclusions about it.

By the way, since we are talking about psychology, it is worth mentioning the rule of mutual exchange, which was first described in the book “The Psychology of Influence” by Robert Cialdini. We are offered to try some product for free. It is highly likely that in the end, only because of this, you decide to purchase it in the future. Especially if the manager, such as the managers of UAHK, turns out to be also a pleasant, sociable person.

Process control is very important. After all, managers should pay attention to the target audience of the product. And don’t give out most of the samples to random people. It turns out that the cost of sampling can be quite high if the scale of the campaign is large.

Finally, most marketers have recently agreed that sampling cannot exist in isolation. This is just a part of the communication that should be used in conjunction with a good advertising campaign.
